The expert predicted an increase in the minimum wage to 32 thousand rubles in 2027.
The minimum wage in Russia in 2027 may exceed 32 thousand rubles. This forecast was made by Alexander Safonov, a professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
"If you calculate by the way the minimum wage has grown in recent years, in 2027 it will range from 31 thousand to 32 150 rubles," the expert said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
He specified that the increase could range from 3.9 to 5.05 thousand rubles. The government will approve the final minimum wage, which will come into force on January 1, 2027, at the end of this year.
Safonov noted that the forecast is based on the dynamics of recent years, when the minimum wage increased by several thousand rubles at once. In addition, its value is affected by the overall increase in official salaries in the country, the agency's interlocutor explained.
On July 28, Vladislav Grib, Deputy Secretary of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, proposed setting the minimum wage at at least 50 thousand rubles. According to him, if the implementation of such a standard in budgetary institutions can cause difficulties, then most commercial organizations are able to provide a similar level of remuneration to employees.
