Ekaterina Belskaya, the granddaughter of former Samara mayor Viktor Tarkhov, who is accused of murdering her family, hunted for dividends on her grandfather's shares and embezzled more than half a million rubles. This was announced on July 28 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the hall of the Samara regional Court.

We are talking about the shares of the company in which Tarkhov was a co-founder. In testimony, the chief accountant of the company explained that at the end of December 2025, Ekaterina arrived at the office on a day off — the girl managed to convince the CEO to pay her dividends to the ex-mayor.

"She said that her grandmother was seriously ill, and she was taken to Moscow in a special car, accompanied by Viktor Alexandrovich. They paid a lot of money for this special vehicle, and she asked for funds," the woman said.

Belskaya was asked for a power of attorney to issue dividends. A couple of hours later, the girl brought the CEO a printed document with a signature indistinguishable from the one Tarkhov usually left. As an exception, the funds were given out in cash — Belskaya left the office with 500 thousand rubles.

"She was so pale, so upset, we didn't even suspect that something could happen. We thought that the grandmother was really in a serious condition," the accountant added.

She clarified that the CEO tried to contact Tarkhov several times to clarify the situation, but he did not answer the phone. A month later, Belskaya asked for money again and, after a corresponding request, provided a notarized power of attorney on behalf of her grandfather, as well as his bank details. The document stated that the girl could receive funds instead of the ex-mayor, as well as sign the protocol.

Earlier, witnesses speaking in the case reported that Belskaya refused to work and brought her grandmother to tears, begging for large sums of money. The girl left her son in the hallway with relatives and manipulated her grandfather, who paid the rent of her apartment. In 2023, Tarkhov sold the house to buy an apartment for his granddaughter, but Belskaya was not satisfied with the housing they could rely on for money.

The murder of former Samara Mayor Tarkhov and his wife Natalia was reported in February 2025. According to the investigation, they died about a month before the discovery of the bodies. Shortly after, the ex-mayor's granddaughter was arrested on suspicion of double murder. According to the investigation, she had been sending SMS messages from Tarkhov and his wife's phones for a month.

At the same time, in May of this year, Belskaya pleaded guilty to murder, but refused to plead guilty to abusing the bodies of relatives. She explained that she poisoned relatives to take over their property, and then froze the bodies in nitrogen, after which they were dismembered by her accomplice. The Tarkhovs' remains were scattered in dumpsters.
