In July, Russia recorded a sharp increase in demand for cars with plug-in hybrid power plants. First of all, the Voyah brand models began to run out in car dealerships, as a result of which the brand's weekly sales decreased by two to three times, and their market share fell from 30% to less than 10%. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this in his Telegram channel on July 28.

In the last three weeks, Geely hybrids have become the leaders in this segment, accounting for about 30% of all sales of PHEV models. Sales of the EX-5 EM-I crossover totaled 1,643 units during the specified period, 120 more Geely Starship 7 cars were also registered, which were brought by alternative import.

Sales of Evolute i-Space hybrids also increased significantly in July: 911 units were registered, the brand accounts for about 15% of the market in the segment. In addition, the expert noted an increase in sales of GAC hybrids (500 copies of two S7 and S9 models; a share of 8.8%) and Exlantix (506 units). ET and ES models; 8% share).

The head of Autostat also noted that the entire segment of plug-in hybrid vehicles in Russia now occupies almost 8% of the new passenger car market, compared to 5% in the first half of the year.

As previously reported on this day, dealers and distributors began massively reducing discounts on NEV cars (powered by new energy sources) in Russia amid increasing demand. According to Nikolai Ivanov, Rolf's new car sales director, the maximum discount on localized hybrids and electric vehicles under the preferential leasing program has already been reduced from 925 thousand to 500 thousand rubles.
