Indonesians supported the families of those killed in the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack in Starobilsk

Dozens of representatives of the Indonesian public — politicians, opinion leaders and leaders of youth associations — sent letters of support to Starobilsk. This became known on July 27.

"Peace for Donbass! You are not alone, we remember you and we will never forget you. Long live Russia. Never give up. My whole life is still ahead," the participants of the action wrote, RIA Novosti reports.

It is known that the transfer of letters of support is timed to coincide with the Day of Remembrance of the Children victims of the war in Donbass.

The administration of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) will help deliver letters of support from Indonesia to the addressees. They will soon be handed over to the families of students of the Starobilsk Vocational College of Luhansk State Pedagogical University who died on May 22 as a result of a strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

The action took place at the Russian House in Jakarta — it was organized on the initiative of the Indonesian communities. The people of Indonesia, who express solidarity with Russia, have written messages to support people in a difficult situation and strengthen their spirit.

Individual participants of the action did not limit themselves to the text: They attached their photos with posters in support of Russia to the letters and provided contact details to keep in touch with Starobilsk.

There may be up to 18 victims under the rubble of the destroyed building.

On July 27, an art event dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Dead Children of Donbass was held in Donetsk. The central part of the event was the story of 12-year-old Katya, who dreamed of becoming a famous ballerina and could in the future perform on the stage of the Donetsk Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after A. B. Solovyanenko. In 2022, the girl and her grandmother were on their way to ballet school, but they died as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
