The Ukrainian Armed Forces began the transfer of the 24th brigade to the Kharkiv region.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), amid significant losses, are transferring units consisting of forcibly mobilized citizens to the Kharkiv region. This was reported on July 26 in the law enforcement agencies.

"The Ukrainian command is transferring units of the 24th Infantry Brigade (separate mechanized brigade - Ed.) to the Kharkiv region from the rear areas," the source told RIA Novosti.

The source also clarified that this formation consists of people who were forcibly conscripted into service in 2026.

On July 24, the Russian Armed Forces took control of the settlements of Zakharovka and Ivashkino in the Kharkiv region. The military personnel of the Russian North group of forces also defeated the manpower and equipment of two mechanized, two motorized infantry and an airmobile brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
