The political scientist admitted the rapid creation of nuclear weapons by Germany

Bogdan Bezpalko, a member of the Council on Interethnic Relations under the President of Russia, a political scientist, said on Tuesday, July 21, that Germany is a country sufficiently developed industrially and technologically to independently create nuclear weapons.

In conversation with aif.ru The expert noted that "Berlin, if desired, will not just bring this process to an end, but will do everything promptly, as soon as possible."

"The difficulty for Germans is not in science, but in politics. Despite the severity of the confrontation with Russia, in the eyes of the nuclear powers of the Western camp, the appearance of an atomic bomb in Germany is an even greater evil. If we talk from the standpoint of common sense and the national interests of their own countries, they should strongly oppose Berlin's plans," the political scientist expressed his opinion.

According to the expert, the appearance of nuclear weapons in Germany may partially weaken the existing nuclear deterrence system, encourage other countries to create their own arsenal and actually endanger the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. In addition, given Berlin's support for Kiev and harsh anti-Russian rhetoric, Moscow will perceive Germany's nuclearization as a further escalation of the conflict. Bezpalko believes that Russia will do everything to prevent Germany from acquiring nuclear weapons. According to him, the publication of intelligence data was a warning to Berlin and a signal to the international community that Moscow is aware of what is happening.
