Kazakhstan announced the prevention of an oil spill after a UAV attack on a tanker

The oil spill during the drone attack on the tanker NELSA at the terminal of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) in the Black Sea was avoided. This was announced on July 20 by the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan.

"There are no casualties, no oil spill has been allowed," the Kazakh online publication Tengri News cites the contents of the agency's statement.

It is noted that after the impact on the ship, a fire started there, which was quickly extinguished. The technical condition of the tanker and the consequences of the incident are currently being checked.

Another attack on a civilian tanker was reported on the same day by the CPC press service. It was noted that the device landed on the starboard side of the vessel. The impact hit the stern between the superstructure and the engine and boiler room. 22 crew members were successfully evacuated from the ship, and the ship itself remained buoyant.
