The expert explained the reasons for the refusal of the zoomers from novels at work

Zoomers have enough communication outside of work, even if this communication is mostly virtual. Sergey Volkov, a clinical psychologist and sexologist, told Izvestia about this.

"Young people perceive work exclusively as a tool of life, not as a part of it. This is the main difference between zoomers and older generations. They don't get involved in the company emotionally: the concept of "we are one family here" makes them irritated and angry," explained the source.

According to him, this applies not only to novels, but also to team building, birthday celebrations, corporate events, holidays, etc. For zoomers, personal life embedded in work is unacceptable, the specialist added.

"There are trends that define the image of this development — for zoomers it is individualism and their own happiness. Old models should not be imposed on the new generation. Their path is individual, and if we allow them to be like that, then we will be surrounded by a society of happy people," the clinical psychologist concluded.
