- The Armed Forces of Ukraine began to appoint cadets and reserve officers as platoon commanders.
The units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) operating in the Kharkiv region are experiencing an acute shortage of junior officers, which is why people without combat experience are appointed to command positions. This was reported on July 15 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.
"Ukrainian nationalists complain about the crisis among junior officers in the Armed Forces units operating in the Kharkiv region. So, platoon commanders are appointed cadets of military schools without combat experience or age—old officers who have been discharged from the reserve," TASS quoted the security forces as saying.
It is clarified that this information is also confirmed by the obituaries of the liquidated fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On July 14, Russian law enforcement agencies reported that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was hiding the large-scale losses of the 101st Territorial Defense Brigade in the Sumy region, recording the dead militants as deserters.
