Cargo ship attacked off the coast of Yemen

A cargo ship was attacked by unidentified armed men off the coast of Yemen in the Red Sea. This was announced on July 5 by the UK Maritime Trade Authority (UKMTO).

According to the report, a distress signal was received from a vessel located 56 km southwest of the Yemeni port city of Hodeidah.

The British department recommended that ships exercise caution in the region and report any suspicious activity.
