Julian Nagelsmann has decided to resign from the post of head coach of the German men's national football team. On July 3, he announced this on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter) journalist Fabrizio Romano.
"Julian Nagelsmann and Germany, it's over. He is no longer the head coach," the publication says.
Nagelsmann, who is now 38 years old, took over the German team in September 2023. The specialist replaced Hans-Dieter Flick in this position. As a result, Jurgen Klopp is considered one of the main contenders for the vacant position.
The Yonhap news agency reported on June 28 that Hong Myung-bo resigned as head coach of the Republic of Korea national football team after the team's performance at the 2026 World Cup. It was clarified that the South Korean team took third place in Group A. The national team scored three points and failed to secure entry into the World Championship playoffs.
