Trump announced Iran's agreement to almost all US demands

During the negotiations, Iran agreed to almost all the key demands of the American side. This was announced on July 2 by US President Donald Trump.

"We are currently negotiating, and we will see how it ends. I think they've already agreed to almost everything we needed," he said in an interview with CNBC.

The head of the White House also compared the current situation with long-term military conflicts of the past, noting that such crises usually drag on for years, while the Iranian conflict took him much less time.

Trump added that the United States allegedly inflicted serious military damage on Iran, including strikes on infrastructure facilities, and claimed the destruction of a number of radar systems. According to him, the parties are continuing the dialogue, and the final outcome of the negotiations has not yet been determined.

On the same day, Al Arabiya TV reported that during the indirect talks in Doha, the United States informed Iran that it would not tolerate a change in the regime of unhindered and free international transit of ships in the Strait of Hormuz. It was noted that it is Tehran's position on the issue of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz that Washington considers as the main signal of commitment to the memorandum of understanding signed on June 18.
