The government of the Russian Federation has allowed the turnover of Euro-3 gasoline by the end of the year to improve the reliability of fuel supply. This is evidenced by the relevant resolution published on July 2 on the official Internet portal of legal information.

"To establish that release into circulation is allowed until December 31, 2026 inclusive... on the territory of the Russian Federation, gasoline of ecological class K5 with a mass fraction of sulfur of no more than 150 mg per kg, a volume fraction of aromatic hydrocarbons of no more than 42%, monomethylaniline of no more than 1%, oxygenates (ethanol) of no more than 5%," the document says.

The decree applies only to those enterprises that have concluded agreements with the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation on capacity modernization before June 1, 2019.

Yesterday, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that the Russian domestic market is generally well supplied with gasoline and diesel fuel, despite repairs at refineries. He explained that the authorities, together with oil companies, monitor the situation on a daily basis and take measures to solve emerging problems. Novak stressed that the fuel situation would have minimal impact on price growth and inflation expectations in Russia.

On the same day, the chairman of the Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko, urged not to dramatize the situation in the Russian fuel market, noting that the government was taking measures to stabilize it. At the same time, she called the situation difficult and called for diesel fuel to be provided primarily to the agro-industrial complex.
