Five passenger trains were delayed in Tatarstan due to derailment

In Tatarstan, two carriages of a utility train derailed, as a result of which five passenger trains and two electric trains were delayed. This was reported on June 2 in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the republic.

"There was a delay of two commuter trains from 50 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes and five long—distance passenger trains from one and a half to two hours," the publication on the agency's website says.

It is specified that two carriages of a utility train derailed on the Gorky railway section on the Korsa — Arsk section.

33 people and 12 pieces of equipment, including two employees and one piece of equipment of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, were involved in the elimination of the consequences of the incident. According to the agency, there were no casualties.

On May 13, Vyacheslav Gladkov, ex-governor of the Belgorod Region, reported that one woman was injured in the Yakovlevsky district as a result of the derailment of half a train car on the Razumnoye — Tomarovka route. The reason for the incident was the absence of about 2 m of railway track, which could have been caused by damage.
