- Residents of the Moscow region will be paid 5 thousand rubles each for the half-century anniversary of the wedding
Married couples from the Moscow Region who have been married for more than 50 years can claim a one-time payment in the amount of 5,000 rubles or more for their wedding anniversary. This was announced on July 2 by the Ministry of Social Development of the region.
"Married couples living in the Moscow region can receive a lump sum payment in honor of their wedding anniversary. It starts with 5,000 rubles for 50 years of marriage and increases with each new round date," the agency's press service told RIA Novosti.
According to the ministry, the amount of the allowance increases gradually: for 55 years of marriage, spouses can receive 6 thousand rubles, for 60 years — 7 thousand rubles, and for 65 years of marriage, the amount increases to 8 thousand rubles. Anniversaries who have celebrated 70 years or more from the wedding day are entitled to a payment of 9 thousand rubles.
To receive funds, it is enough for citizens to submit an application once. After that, charges for subsequent round dates will be made automatically.
Alexey Nechaev, the leader of the New People party, said on June 19 that in Russia newlyweds can be given the opportunity to reimburse part of the wedding expenses with the help of a tax deduction from the amount up to 400 thousand rubles. According to the MP, such a support measure could become a kind of wedding gift from the state and contribute to the creation of new families.
