Lercek gave details about the fight against cancer. The main thing
Blogger Lercek (real name — Valeria Chekalina) told in an interview with journalist Nadezhda Strelets about the treatment of stage IV stomach cancer and the suspension of the criminal case. She has already completed seven courses of therapy. All the details are in the Izvestia article.
The blogger's health status
Chekalina said that the cancer was discovered during a routine examination during her fourth pregnancy. Previously, she had experienced severe pain, which was mistaken by doctors for renal colic. The blogger is currently undergoing his seventh course of chemotherapy at the Blokhin Oncology Center.
Due to aggressive treatment, Chekalina was faced with hair loss and decided to shave her head. Despite her physical fatigue, she continues to visit the gym, which causes a mixed reaction on social media. The blogger explained her decision to talk openly about her illness with a desire to stop rumors about a marketing move to promote her business.
"I want to prove that it is possible to live with stage IV cancer, enjoy life and defeat it. I believe that I will do it," Chekalina said.
Personal life changes
Significant changes have taken place in Chekalina's life: after 11 years of marriage, she broke up with Artem Chekalin. According to the blogger, their relationship has turned into a purely business partnership.
In March, she gave birth to a child with choreographer Luis Squicciarini, who now accompanies her on medical procedures and helps in everyday life.
Close associates and show business colleagues expressed their support for Valeria. Egor Creed and Dana Borisova spoke in her defense. Squicciarini urged the public to believe in the blogger's healing, noting that she is holding up well and her children really need her.
"The seventh chemistry. Lera is holding up great! Wish me good health and pray for healing. We all believe in it. The children need Lera," Squicciarini said.
Criminal prosecution
Amid reports of illness, the prosecutor's office initiated verification of the authenticity of Lercek's diagnosis, in response to which the family published medical documents.
At the moment, the court has suspended the consideration of the case on the withdrawal of more than 250 million rubles abroad due to the well-being of the accused. At the same time, the blogger's ex-husband has already received a sentence of seven years in prison.
To eliminate debts to the state in the amount of 175 million rubles, Chekalina sold her country house. The property was acquired by lawyer Vladimir Kh. at a lower-than-market price, which allowed the family to avoid bankruptcy and completely close its debts. Valeria herself noted that due to financial difficulties, "everything was taken away from her," so she values the support of friends and even small gifts.
