The disease was detected on a routine ultrasound scan during pregnancy. Chekalina is currently undergoing her seventh course of chemotherapy at the Blokhin National Medical Oncology Research Center.

Despite the heavy therapy and physical fatigue, the blogger tries to stay active and visit the gym, which has caused criticism on social media. Due to the treatment, Chekalin was faced with hair loss and decided to shave her head.

According to Valeria, she openly discusses the situation with her children, and explained the decision to give an interview with a desire to stop speculation about a marketing move to promote her cosmetics brand Eyya skin.

Currently, the court has suspended the consideration of a criminal case on the withdrawal of more than 250 million rubles abroad due to the health condition of the accused. At the same time, the blogger's former husband has already been sentenced to seven years in prison in this case.

To pay off her tax debts and prevent bankruptcy, Chekalina sold her country house. The owner of the property was lawyer Vladimir Kh., who bought the mansion at a lower-than-market price. The proceeds made it possible to completely close debts in the amount of 175 million rubles to the state.
