- The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation announced the monitoring of the fuel situation at retailers
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia monitors the situation with the availability of fuel from retail chains and does not record systemic complaints about its shortage. This was reported on June 30 in the press service of the department.
"The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia is monitoring the situation with the availability of fuel from retailers. The agency does not record any systemic complaints about the lack of sufficient fuel needed to supply products to stores," the press service said in a statement.
The ministry stressed that ensuring the availability of goods to the public is one of the key tasks. In case of possible failures with fuel for retail vehicles, the necessary measures will be promptly taken in coordination with the industry. The Ministry of Industry and Trade also said that it is in constant contact with market participants and continues to monitor the situation.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting on providing fuel to the domestic market on June 29, noted that fuel production should exceed the June figures as early as July. At the same time, the authorities are discussing the possibility of a complete ban on the export of diesel fuel. The Russian President also called for minimizing the consequences of terrorist attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the infrastructure of the Russian Federation.
