In Moscow, the investigation of the criminal case of the attack on the film crew of the Izvestia news center has been completed. This was reported on June 29 in the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Moscow.
"The investigation of the criminal case against four defendants has been completed. They are accused of committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 144 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Obstruction of the legitimate professional activities of journalists")," the message in the Maks messenger says.
According to investigators, on December 19, 2025, the Izvestia film crew, as part of an editorial assignment, filmed a report in a hotel complex in northeastern Moscow on the activities of public figures who conducted trainings without proper qualifications. Employees of a private security company, realizing that they were facing journalists, used violence against them and damaged video equipment.
As part of the investigation, witnesses were questioned and video materials were examined. The criminal case with the approved indictment has been submitted to the court.
The fact that the Izvestia film crew was attacked by security guards at the training of coach Yulia Ivlieva, who calls herself a psychologist, became known on December 20, 2025. It was clarified that the attack on journalists occurred after their questions about Ivlieva's education and income.
A criminal case was opened into the attack on journalists on December 21. Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, instructed Dmitry Belyaev, head of the Moscow Main Investigative Department (GSU) of the Investigative Committee of Russia, to submit a report on the progress of the criminal investigation and the circumstances established.
On December 24, the Ostankino District Court of Moscow placed the accused Arsen Sharuda and Oleg Pavlyukevich under house arrest, and also arrested Sergei Rogozin.
