The assailant of the journalist could face up to two years in prison under the article on intentional infliction of minor bodily harm, Alexey Gavrishev, head of AVG Legal, told Izvestia.

Obstruction of the legitimate professional activity of journalists is punishable by forced labor for up to five years or imprisonment for up to six years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.
