The State Council proposed to evaluate the effectiveness of regions by digital maturity

The national plan for the introduction of technologies and artificial intelligence should become a realistic and working tool for solving the tasks set by Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was announced on June 24 by Assistant to the head of state Alexey Dyumin at a meeting of the State Council's commission on Data Economics.

The results achieved in the regions in this industry should influence the assessment of the effectiveness of the subjects.

"When determining regional performance indicators, I would like to draw attention to this, we need to proceed from the level of digital maturity of the regions and, of course, the state of budgets, taking into account existing regional information systems and infrastructure," Dyumin said.

According to the Secretary of the State Council, the commission, together with the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, has done a lot of work. Thus, the best regional practices on the use of AI in various industries were collected. Spreading this experience to all subjects will speed up the resolution of many pressing issues.
