Bloomberg reported on the desire of European countries to adopt the Finnish elite training course

European countries, including Poland, Germany and Great Britain, are interested in the Finnish elite training program for war and want to introduce the same course. This was reported by Bloomberg on June 24.

"Representatives of Poland asked [Finland] for advice on creating a similar course, and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier requested a briefing on this topic during his visit to Finland in May," the article says.

The publication clarifies that the UK is also interested in creating such a program. The country pointed this out in its Strategic Defense review for 2025.

According to the agency, you cannot apply for the Finnish course yourself. Invitations are sent four times a year to politicians, scientists and representatives of the management of companies.

The course participants attend closed briefings, strategic facilities and government offices, the agency reports. It is also specified that the participants wear military uniforms, live in barracks and take part in exercises of the Finnish defense Forces.

The Financial Times newspaper reported on May 22 that the British army conducted large-scale NATO exercises to simulate a major military conflict with Russia, placing a command center on an abandoned platform of the Charing Cross metro station. During the simulation, the scenario of an alleged possible offensive by Russian forces in the Baltic region was worked out.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in an article for Politico Europe on June 19, noted that a clash between NATO and Russia could lead to catastrophic consequences, including an exchange of strikes using nuclear weapons. According to him, Europe's course towards confrontation with Russia and further expansion carries serious risks for global security.
