The RSA told about the changes in the prices of spare parts for the calculation of CTP

New price guides have entered into force, on the basis of which the amount of CTP compensation is calculated. This was announced on June 19 by the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA).

It is specified that in comparison with the previous version of the reference books, the cost of spare parts increased by an average of 2.8%. The RSA said that prices for VAZ brands (+6.3%), Opel (+6.6%), and Honda (+6.1%) showed significant growth. For spare parts of such common brands as Audi, BMW, Toyota, Mercedes, KIA, Hyundai, the price increase is in the range of 0.5–3.5%.

The situation with spare parts for popular Chinese-made cars continues to stabilize, and this is reflected in lower prices for fairly massive brands: Chery (-6.7%), Omoda (-3.8%).

"In the near future, we expect a fairly noticeable increase in the price level for spare parts, since back in April 2026, the Bank of Russia approved amendments to the rules for determining average prices for spare parts, namely, these average prices are used to determine repair costs for CTP (Unified Methodology). These amendments to the Unified Methodology are currently being registered with the Russian Ministry of Justice, and we expect the document to enter into force in the near future," said Evgeny Ufimtsev, President of the Russian Academy of Justice.

He pointed out that these innovations were not included in the directories that began operating on June 19. According to Ufimtsev, it is expected that the next edition of the documents will be developed using a new methodology. As a result of the amendments, insurance payments in terms of spare parts costs, according to preliminary estimates, will increase by an average of 8.2%, the head of the RSA said.

"Since the structure of the spare parts market differs from brand to brand, the growth of average spare parts prices will vary. For example, spare parts for Volkswagen, Skoda, Mitsubishi will rise in price by 10.7–18.6%. For VAZ, Omoda, Haval, Chery, this change will be minimal: 0.9–4.5%," added Ufimtsev.

Why are the official recovery prices significantly different from the real ones?

On June 11, the RSA reported that the level of CTP payments, including business expenses, exceeds 100% in more than a third of the country's regions. This makes the avtograzhdanki segment unprofitable in such regions.
