The opposition Wings of Unity party has filed a petition with the Constitutional Court of Armenia to declare the results of the parliamentary elections in the country invalid. This was reported on June 19 in the press service of the political association.

Wings of Unity is submitting an application to the Constitutional Court demanding that the election results be declared invalid," reads a message on the social network Facebook (owned by Meta, whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

Party representative Liparit Drmeyan, who informed reporters about this, added that they also demanded a repeat vote from the Constitutional Court. He stated that the current election results were influenced by numerous violations, as well as pressure exerted on the opposition.

On the same day, another opposition bloc, Strong Armenia, headed by businessman Samvel Karapetyan, also appealed to the Constitutional Court with the same demand. The petition, according to the representative of the party Marianna Kagramanyan, was based on violations "organized" by the current authorities of the country.

Following the results of the last elections, three political parties entered the Armenian parliament: the Civil Contract Party: 49.7456% (726,819 votes), the Strong Armenia bloc: 23.271% (340,060 votes), the Armenia bloc: 9.923% (144,983 votes). It is specified that a total of 1,476,769 people, or 58.9% of the population, took part in the voting. The "Civil Contract" was given the opportunity to single-handedly form a new government.
