A British Air Force reconnaissance aircraft flew near the Kaliningrad region
A Boeing RC-135W Rivet Joint reconnaissance aircraft of the British Air Force flew over the Kaliningrad region, and then disappeared into the airspace of Lithuania and Poland. This was confirmed on June 17 by flight data from the Flightradar24 service.
The aircraft, according to RIA Novosti, took off at about 10:40 a.m. from the Waddington base and immediately headed east. A few hours later, having reached the western Lithuanian city of Klaipeda, it circled the Baltic Sea a couple of times along the coast of the Kaliningrad region.
Subsequently, the Boeing was spotted in the sky over Kaunas, from where it moved west. Currently, a reconnaissance aircraft is flying over Poland, trying to stay close to the state border of the Russian Federation.
According to Flightradar24, on June 10, a Swedish Gulfstream IV reconnaissance aircraft was observing the territory of Finland near the borders of Russia. The aircraft took off from the Swedish Air Force base in Linkoping, and then entered Finnish airspace and flew along the Russian border, covering the area from St. Petersburg to Petrozavodsk.
