Trump allowed the signing of the US-Iran deal in the coming days
A peace agreement between the United States and Iran may be signed within the next few days. This was announced on June 9 by US President Donald Trump at a press conference in New York.
"We are in the final stages of what will become a very, very good deal that will not allow [Tehran] to have nuclear weapons in any form or in any form," the head of the White House said, broadcast by Fox on YouTube.
According to the American leader, one of the key consequences of the agreement will be the resumption of free navigation in the region.
"The [Strait of Hormuz] will be opened immediately. It will open immediately after the signing, which may take place in two or three days," Trump stressed.
The US president also noted that he would not like to resume attacks on the Islamic Republic of Iran. In his opinion, the measure in the form of a naval blockade of Iranian ports has demonstrated greater effectiveness than the bombing of territories.
The day before, the head of the White House also admitted the possibility of organizing the landing of American special forces on the territory of Iran if negotiations between Washington and Tehran fail "essentially." He stressed that the current aggravation of relations between Israel and Iran should not hinder diplomatic cooperation between Washington and Tehran.
The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, Ismail Bagai, said on the same day that the negotiation process between Iran and the United States was continuing. According to the diplomat, Tehran does not intend to make concessions on the issue of its assets.
