- The intelligence officer reported that Lithuania does not have weapons to threaten Kaliningrad.
Lithuania does not own the weapons with which it threatens Kaliningrad. This was announced on June 9 by former American intelligence officer Scott Ritter.
"I'm curious about what the Lithuanian Foreign Minister is talking about, what kind of weapons is he planning to use to threaten Kaliningrad? After all, Lithuania does not have any weapons," Ritter said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Ritter also noted that Lithuania, apparently, is counting on American weapons, but the former intelligence officer is sure that the Americans no longer have them either.
On May 18, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budris called on NATO to demonstrate its readiness for military pressure on the Kaliningrad region. The Lithuanian Foreign Minister also noted that the Baltic states should not perceive Russia as a threat capable of quickly changing the situation in the region.
