The New People Party scaled up the Voice of the City project

The New People Party has scaled up the Voice of the City project to support street musicians, and the new season has been opened in 35 regions of Russia. The central venue was the Moscow Region, where on June 6 the event was opened by party leader Alexei Nechaev. It is noted that this region became the most massive in terms of the number of participants last year.

"But there are many talented people, and to help them succeed, the New People party came up with the Voice of the City project three years ago. Once upon a time, the first stage was made in Tomsk, where anyone could come and perform. <...> This year there will be 35 regions, there will be many stages. It is much better when our own artists perform at events in cities, rather than inviting some very expensive ones for millions of rubles, some artists who love their Homeland only for a lot of money," Nechaev said.

He also stressed that there are a lot of talented people in Russia who write music, sing and read poetry. However, not everyone has the opportunity to become famous due to the lack of producers, connections and serious schools. Therefore, the party came up with the project "The Voice of the City" in Tomsk, where anyone could come and speak. Nechaev noted that last year, an artist who was only three years old participated in the project, and there was also an artist who is 82 years old. He added that the project was created for any people.

As part of the new season, it is planned to improve and equip venues for performances in 35 regions of the country with all necessary equipment, including lighting. The party noted that the main task is to create open venues where talented artists from the regions will have the opportunity to perform for free and find a new audience.

From June to August, such spaces will be open by prior reservation. It is noted that anyone can perform on the stages of the project on any day of the week. In addition, participants will be able to take part in themed events such as dance battles, guitar and poetry evenings, DJING festivals and other street culture formats.

The season finale will be a themed street culture festival, which will be held in September. The best artists from 35 regions of Russia will perform in its framework. It is specified that the winners of the project will be able to professionally record their tracks for distribution on the country's music platforms in the future.

In 2025, the project attracted a wide audience — 4,000 artists between the ages of three and 82 performed on the stages of Voices of the City. During the season, the participants performed more than 35 thousand songs, and the events were attended by more than 650 thousand spectators.

It is noted that one of the finalists of the project was Artem Dunai, an 18-year-old guitarist from Tomsk. This helped him reach the international level — in 2025, he represented Russia at a music competition in China. Also, the duo of the older generation — 62-year-old Alexander Tribunsky and 52-year-old Yana Girivskaya, thanks to the project, was able to find their audience and continued to release original songs. Last season's winners, the band "Where's the Money?!" from Petrozavodsk, recorded professional tracks in the studio and continue to release new music and perform at festivals.

On May 19, the New People Party launched the federal Career in a New Way project, which will employ more than 10,000 young professionals. The initiative will bring together university graduates and leading Russian companies that are ready to provide recent students with their first job and mentoring at the start of their careers.
