- Pushilin spoke about the successes of the Russian Armed Forces in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk area
Russian troops are advancing in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk, Svyatogorsk and Dobropolsky directions in the zone of a special military operation. This was announced on June 5 by the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin in the Izvestia studio at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
"The liberation of Slavyansk-Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk-Druzhkovskaya agglomerations <...> will be a difficult task. It has already begun to be implemented," Pushilin said.
According to him, fighting is currently underway in Konstantinovka, reconnaissance groups have reached Druzhkovka and Alekseevo-Druzhkovka. The advance is hindered by the enemy's ability to transfer reserves, as well as the height near the village of Rai-Alexandrovka, after the liberation of which the way to Kramatorsk and Slavyansk will open. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are clinging to the city of Krasny Liman.
In the Dobropolsky direction, Russian units are also advancing, but more slowly due to enemy defenses at Beletsky. After the liberation of Tatyanovka and Prishib, there have been successes in the Svyatogorsk area.
The head of the DPR added that it is difficult to talk about the timing of the complete liberation of the territories due to the constantly changing situation.
On May 22, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russian units were successfully moving forward in the Zaporozhye area of the special military operation. According to the head of state, the Russian Army has completely liberated the Luhansk People's Republic and already over 85% of the territory of the DPR.
