Roscosmos named private companies as partners of the state corporation

The Roscosmos State Corporation considers domestic private companies as partners. This was announced on June 4 on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026) by the head of the department Dmitry Bakanov.

"This is all a help for us. Therefore, God forbid that they succeed," Bakanov said on the air of the forum.

According to him, private business has already accumulated unique competencies and is ahead of state-owned enterprises in a number of areas. As an example, the head of Roscosmos cited the companies Bureau 1440 and Geoscan, which develop satellite technologies and gain practical experience in operating spacecraft.

On the sidelines of the forum, an agreement was also signed on the intention to launch the Cosmotechnika investment platform to support public-private partnership projects in the rocket and space industry.

The amount will be comparable to last year's amount against the background of high rates — it is the issues of business growth that will become the main topics of discussion.

On May 20, Roscosmos allowed a joint flight to the moon with China. It was noted that a Russian lunar dust sensor will be installed on a Chinese spacecraft to study the surface and soil.
