The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has carried out dozens of strikes against Iran since the beginning of the conflict in the Middle East. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal on May 30, citing sources.

"The UAE launched dozens of air strikes against Iran in the early days of the war, without stopping even after the ceasefire was announced in April," the newspaper reports, citing sources.

The publication emphasizes that the strikes were carried out in coordination with the intelligence of the United States and Israel, among the targets were the islands of Qeshm and Abu Musa in the Strait of Hormuz and several petrochemical complexes.

Prior to that, on May 4, a fire broke out at an oil industrial facility (NGO) in Fujairah, UAE. According to the city authorities, the fire occurred as a result of a drone attack from Iran. The UAE Defense Ministry added that three missiles were intercepted over the country's airspace.

Later that day, the UAE Foreign Ministry strongly condemned Iran's attacks on civilian targets in the country and reserves the right to respond to them. The statement also stated that the Iranian attack represents a dangerous escalation and a direct threat to the security, stability and territorial integrity of the UAE. The country's authorities have stated that they do not intend to compromise on national security issues.
