In the town of Liski, Voronezh region, a drunk couple got into an altercation with schoolchildren and abducted a child. This was announced on May 27 by a source of Izvestia.

The incident occurred on the banks of the Don River. A 25-year-old man and his 21-year-old girlfriend spent time on the beach intoxicated and suspected that the children who were vacationing nearby had allegedly insulted them. After a verbal altercation, the students scattered, and their 11-year-old friend remained near the river.

"The girl hit him on the head, after which the child was pushed into a car and taken to an apartment, where he was forcibly detained," the source explained.

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Voronezh Region clarified that the child had been released and handed over to his parents, and a criminal case had been opened into the incident. The suspects have been detained, and the investigation will request their arrest.
