- The man sold 140 million rubles worth of real estate to scammers and received one bill.
An entrepreneur from Vladikavkaz sold a shopping complex with 140 million rubles worth of facilities to Moscow scammers and received only one bill after the deal. The man himself told Izvestia about this.
The man owned a plot of land with an area of 24,000 square meters, an administrative building, a boiler room, a chemical warehouse and many retail premises. Three Muscovites contacted the businessman and convinced him to come to the capital to carry out the transaction.
"They gained their trust, lured them to Moscow to join a bank. They referred to the fact that these amounts would not fit into the cell, and after passing the documents to the MFC, they would transfer the money. They put two receipts in the box and five thousand on top. Later, without me, they opened this safe, took out two receipts, and the court referred to the fact that the money was allegedly given to me in cash in Moscow," the businessman explained.
The transfer deed for the facilities was not signed, however, ownership of the entire complex passed to the conman. The man intends to have the sale and purchase agreement annulled in court as part of a civil case, and then hopes to bring the fraudsters to criminal responsibility.
On May 20, the Orenburg Region court reported that a Russian woman had earned more than a million rubles by selling fake tours. According to the investigation, the woman worked in the field of tourism and decided to get rich. She developed an illicit enrichment scheme, according to which she offered potential clients travel products, entered into contracts with them, received payment, and then simply did not fulfill her obligations.
