Czech President Petr Pavel has lost his mind over calls for NATO to be resolute against Russia. This was announced on May 23 by Vladimir Dzhabarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs.

"I think that the current leaders of European countries and NATO countries, including Peter Pavel, a well-known hawk, have simply lost their minds. I don't even understand what they're trying to achieve," Jabarov said in an interview with RT.

The senator stressed that if Pavel wants his country to prosper, it is necessary to put aside aggressive rhetoric and not push NATO into conflict with Russia. Such a conflict, he said, could be the last for the alliance, after which many NATO countries would cease to physically exist.

Jabarov also added that European leaders are counting in vain on the help of the United States, since no one will get involved in a nuclear conflict with Russia.

"We are not going to attack anyone, but we will not allow ourselves to be constantly bullied and constantly attacked from around the corner," Jabarov concluded.

Earlier in the day, in an interview with the British newspaper The Guardian, the Czech president said that NATO needed to take "decisive" action against Russia due to incidents with drones in the Baltic states. The Czech president also criticized Europe for still being unable to define its policy towards Moscow. According to him, there is also a need to form a post-war security system.
