- The State Duma spoke about the response to the Ukrainian Armed Forces strike on the college
It is time to launch preventive strikes against the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), today this is the main task of the Armed Forces of Russia. Andrei Kolesnik told the State Duma Defense Committee about this on Friday, May 22.
At the same time, the politician stressed that it is necessary to prevent strikes similar to the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on the college.
"It's time to start asking questions and launching preemptive strikes. This is the main task of our Armed Forces today, especially when it comes to children. It is necessary to strike and prevent strikes against such objects. And to strengthen air defense, not only to cover military facilities," Kolesnik said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .
The MP stressed that retribution is inevitable, and Russia will strike back at the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"But I want to say that retribution is inevitable, there are not even any options here. We respond all the time if such attacks are terrorist attacks. Ukraine is a terrorist country, [the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir] Zelensky, is the main terrorist himself. And let those who support him have no illusions either," Kolesnik added.
He stressed that colleges where children are located must be carefully covered with air defense systems, because Zelensky no longer disdains anything.
When the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit the college, 40 people were injured, RT reports. Eight of them, including those whose condition is assessed as serious, were admitted to hospitals.
The Commissioner for Human Rights, Yana Lantratova, said that four people were killed, reports NSN.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case on the incident under Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"). According to the ministry, the five-storey building collapsed all the way to the second floor. As it turned out later, there may be up to 18 more residents under its rubble.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, on May 22, in a conversation with Izvestia, compared these Ukrainian strikes with the reprisals of the Nazis during the Great Patriotic War (WWII). She stressed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants "beat children with precision and pleasure," which is reminiscent of the Nazis' actions against schoolchildren in Kerch.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on a dormitory and college in Starobilsk a monstrous crime of the Kiev regime. 360.ru .
