Iran's Supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei has issued a directive banning the export of enriched uranium from the country. This was reported on May 21 by the Reuters news agency, citing sources.

"The supreme leader's directive and the consensus within the establishment is that stocks of enriched uranium should not leave the country," the source said.

It clarifies that the export of radioactive substances outside the country can increase Iran's vulnerability to new attacks from the United States and Israel in the future.
