In St. Petersburg, Rosgvardiya employees, together with the Hermitage security service, detained a visitor who sat on the Great Imperial Throne in St. George's Hall. This was announced on May 17 at the main directorate of the Russian Guard in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.
"A museum visitor, while in the St. George's Hall of the Hermitage, went behind a rope fence and sat on the Great Imperial Throne," the department's Telegram channel says.
According to the agency, the incident occurred on May 17 at about 14:00. The violator turned out to be a 45-year-old local resident. It is specified that he violated public order and tried to provoke a conflict with the museum staff.
Employees of the Hermitage informed the Rosgvardiya staff, who are guarding the museum, about the incident. During the arrest, the man actively resisted. He was later taken to the 78th police department.
