Peking duck and lobsters were served at the banquet in honor of Trump's visit to China

At a reception at the People's Assembly House in Beijing on the occasion of US President Donald Trump's state visit to China, guests were served lobster soup and Peking duck. This was reported by NBC on May 14.

The menu also included tomato soup with lobster, beef ribs, stewed seasonal vegetables and salmon cooked over low heat in mustard sauce.

In addition, the guests were able to taste a traditional dish of Shanghai cuisine — small pork dumplings fried in oil, known as shengjianbao.

At the end of the meal, the leaders and members of the delegations of the two countries were offered tiramisu, fruit and ice cream as a dessert.

Chinese President Xi Jinping stressed during the state banquet that the ideas of the revival of the Chinese nation and the return of the greatness of the United States do not contradict each other. According to him, in modern conditions, Beijing and Washington continue to maintain stable relations through regular contacts and negotiations between the leaders.
