Grandson Dmitry may become the sole heir of journalist and TV presenter Vladimir Molchanov. This was announced on May 13 by lawyer Ivan Solovyov.

"If there was no will, then everything is distributed according to the law. First come the heirs of the first stage," the lawyer explained in an interview with aif.ru .

It is known that after his death Molchanov left a two-room apartment in the famous Moscow "house of composers" on Chayanov Street and a cottage in the village of Staraya Ruza, where prominent musicians often met.

In a message from Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the agency's website dated May 13, it says that the creative path of journalist and TV presenter Vladimir Molchanov was associated with the last years of the USSR and the first steps of the new Russian television. He noted that viewers remember Molchanov as the host of the popular TV programs "Before and after midnight" and "90 minutes", the author of reports that gathered an audience of millions. The Foreign Minister stressed that the name of Molchanov, who was a teacher, innovator and documentarian, is forever inscribed in the history of Russian media.

Molchanov's death at the age of 75 became known on the night of May 13. Oncologist Evgeny Cheremushkin said that he had previously undergone a liver transplant due to cancer.

Sports commentator Georgy Cherdantsev, in turn, noted that Molchanov never showed confusion in the frame and was able to keep his face under any circumstances. Documentary filmmaker Ivan Tsybin added that he was the mind, honor and conscience of Russian television.
