Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo's dissatisfaction with the flight of a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in the country's airspace is hypocrisy. This was announced on May 7 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"They finance these drones themselves. They supply technology and create joint production between the countries of the European Union and NATO with the Kiev regime. Now they don't like these drones flying? This is the hypocrisy of the Finnish political elite," she said at a briefing.

In her opinion, the hypocrisy lies in the fact that Finland verbally expresses dissatisfaction with the passage of a Ukrainian drone, but does not take any action to prevent such a thing.

In addition, Zakharova noted that Finland continues to increase arms supplies to the Kiev regime. The total volume of these supplies is about € 3.2 billion, she said. In terms of the ratio of these supplies to GDP, Helsinki countries occupy one of the leading places in the world, Zakharova noted.

The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry added that at the same time, Finland declares the existence of a long-term threat from Russia, and also "fantasizes" about scenarios of a possible military attack in the future. Zakharova stressed that the Finnish authorities prefer not to see a real threat in the form of Ukrainian drones. According to her, this indicates an extremely high anti-Russian attitude of Finnish politicians.

On May 3, the Finnish Ministry of Defense reported an unidentified UAV in the eastern part of the country. It was noted that the drone was moving in an area that is located near the border with Russia. Later, Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo told Zelensky about the inadmissibility of violating Finnish airspace. According to the politician, the government has reliable information about the night events.

On May 5, Orpo, commenting on the situation with Ukrainian UAVs, tried to justify the continuation of Helsinki's cooperation with Kiev. According to him, "no one sent drones to Finland on purpose."
