HBO has renewed the Harry Potter series for a second season seven months before the premiere of the first season. This was reported on May 6 by The Hollywood Reporter magazine.

"HBO has officially given the green light to the second season of Harry Potter," the publication says.

It is clarified that HBO has not yet announced the title of the second season. At the same time, the creative team of the series previously stated that it plans to dedicate one season to each book by J. K. Rowling.
