The US and Japanese sanctions against Russia, imposed under the administration of former American leader Joe Biden, made no sense. This was announced on May 6 by Japanese MP Muneo Suzuki.

"I believe that there was no point in the economic sanctions that were adopted during the Biden administration, and to which the then Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida, joined," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Suzuki noted that the actions of the previous White House administration were erroneous, since the sanctions did not lead to the defeat of Russia. He also pointed out the need to lift restrictive measures.
