The Moscow Stock Exchange index fell below 2,600 points for the first time since November 19, 2025. This is evidenced on May 5 by the data of the trading platform on the website.

As of 11:10 a.m. Moscow time, the index fell to 2,590.66 points. However, by 11:20 Moscow time, the indicator began to grow and reached 2,592.29 points.

The Moscow Stock Exchange index went down on April 24 amid the decision of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation to lower the key interest rate. Prior to the publication of the Bank of Russia's decision, the Moscow Exchange index showed an increase of 0.21% and stood at 2,777.36 points (as of 13:25 Moscow time). However, by 13:30 Moscow time, the indicator went down to 2,761.41 points, which is 0.36% lower.
