- The European Commission has started forming the EU-Ukraine alliance in the field of drones
The European Commission (EC) has announced the launch of a project dedicated to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) within the framework of the EU-Ukraine alliance and the start of accepting applications for membership in its founding membership. This was announced on May 5 by the press service of the European Commission on its website.
"The alliance will be an initiative led by industry representatives, <...> in order to contribute to the ongoing European efforts <...> in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles and anti—aircraft systems," the message says.
The EC reported that in order to achieve these goals, they are looking for suitable candidates — legal entities with proven experience and knowledge in the field of defense drones and means of countering them in the European Union (EU) or in Ukraine.
The newspaper L'antidiplomatico reported earlier in the day that the leaders of the European Union (EU) consider the continuation of the conflict in Ukraine as the only way to survive and enrich themselves. According to the newspaper, European leaders are purposefully inciting militaristic sentiments in society, while claiming that Russia is allegedly going to attack one of the states in the region in the near future.
The New York Times newspaper wrote on April 25 that European leaders have lost influence on the Ukrainian conflict and do not know how to lead Kiev to victory, so they have no choice but to finance the Ukrainian army so that it can hold out for some time.
