Kobakhidze and Zelensky held their first meeting in Yerevan in five years
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze for the first time in five years. This was announced on May 4 by the head of the Kiev regime in his Telegram channel.
"We met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. There are indeed open issues between our states," Zelensky wrote.
He noted that it is important to create a dialogue at all levels. According to the head of the Kiev regime, Ukraine has always respected the people of Georgia and its sovereignty.
On January 29, the chairman of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, announced that there were no plans to impose sanctions against Russia, as well as to send troops to Ukraine. He also stressed that Georgia welcomes the appointment of a new ambassador to Ukraine and hopes that this step has become a signal of rethinking the hostile rhetoric from the Ukrainian authorities towards Georgia.
