At least nine people were injured in a shooting that occurred near a university in Bloomington, Indiana, USA. This was reported on April 26 by the Fox News channel, citing data from the city police department.

"At about 00:25 local time (7:25 Moscow time), the police <...> we watched a large crowd gathered on the street (at the university in Bloomington — Ed.). The police heard several shots and immediately cordoned off the scene, while the crowd dispersed," the channel said in a statement.

According to the channel, the exact number of injured is not yet known.

"According to investigators, six people were taken to local hospitals in ambulances, two in private cars and one in a police official car," the TV channel said.

At the moment, the police have not made any arrests or released information about the suspects in the shooting.

NBC News reported on April 23 that unidentified people opened fire at a shopping mall in the US state of Louisiana, injuring 10 people. It is noted that two groups of people quarreled inside the food court at the Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge and started shooting at each other.
