A man who staged a stabbing in a Dagestan hospital tried to escape by car

A man who attacked two doctors at a hospital in Makhachkala with a knife tried to escape by car. Magomed Kudiyasulov, the senior guard at the medical facility, told Izvestia about this on April 23.

"[The staff] ran out, started shouting, <...> he (the criminal — Ed.) jumped out the window. <...> Then we all the guards ran after him, he jumped into the car," Kudiyasulov said.

According to him, the guards managed to catch up with the man and get him out of the car. Kudiyasulov added that after the arrest, the security officers called the police. In addition, the senior guard suggested that the attacker could have been under the influence of narcotic substances.

The victim died from his injuries, and the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case.

A man with a knife attacked two doctors in a hospital in Makhachkala on April 23. The investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (SU IC) of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Dagestan reported that a criminal case had been opened into the incident under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code ("Attempted murder").

The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the region reported that the man who attacked the paramedics was detained after trying to escape from the scene. Later, the department added that one of the medical workers is in critical condition.
