A doctor injured in an attack was operated on in Makhachkala

A medical worker injured in an attack by a man with a knife in Makhachkala underwent surgery. This was reported on April 23 in the press service of the Ministry of Health of Dagestan.

"The surgeon underwent surgery and was transferred to the intensive care unit," the message on the MAX messenger says.

According to the agency, at the moment the condition of the second victim, a traumatologist, is assessed as moderate severity.

The victim died from his injuries, and the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case.

A man with a knife attacked two doctors in a hospital in Makhachkala on April 23. The investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Dagestan reported that a criminal case had been opened into the incident under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code ("Attempted murder").

The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the region reported that the man who attacked the paramedics was detained after trying to escape from the scene.
