American Vice President J. D. Vance will not travel to Pakistan to hold talks with the Iranian side. This was reported on April 21 on the website of the White House press pool, citing a source.

"The United States expects a unified proposal from the Iranians, the trip to Pakistan will not take place today," the publication says.

According to the press pool, the White House will provide further information on possible meetings.

The Associated Press (AP) reported on the same day that the US vice president canceled his trip to Pakistan, where he was supposed to lead negotiations with Iran as part of the American delegation.

Later, American leader Donald Trump extended the ceasefire in the conflict with Iran at the request of Pakistan until the submission of Tehran's proposals and the completion of the negotiation process. According to him, the US military in the Middle East region remains on alert, and the naval blockade of Iranian ports continues.
