Putin compared the work of municipal workers with the service of soldiers
The activities of municipal workers in Russia are very important and comparable to the military service. This was announced on April 21 by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with representatives of the municipal community.
"There are no small soldiers. A soldier sounds proud. And indeed, in your post you are fulfilling a very important mission <...> of serving the whole country," Putin said.
He said this, commenting on the expression of Irina Guseva, a member of the presidium of the Presidential Council for the Development of Local Self-Government, who said that municipal employees in the state system are "little soldiers." The President also thanked government employees for their service to people in municipalities of all sizes, concluding his speech with the phrase "we are a team."
The presidential envoy to the Ural Federal District, Artyom Zhoga, said on February 11 that the combat experience of the special operation participants helps them work effectively in public service. He added that the stress tolerance of the SVO fighters helps them better cope with non-standard situations that "unsettle an ordinary person."
